Volumouse provides you a quick and easy way to control the sound volume on your system - simply by rolling the wheel of your wheel mouse. It allows you to define a set of rules for determining when the wheel will be used for changing the sound volume. For example: You can configure Volumouse to use your mouse wheel for volume control when the Alt key is hold down, when the left mouse button is down, when the mouse cursor is over the taskbar, and so on... When the conditions that you define are not satisfied, your mouse wheel will be used for the regular scrolling tasks, exactly as before.
System Requirements
Windows operating system: Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Server 2003, or Windows Vista. (Windows 95 is not supported)
i had remote desktop up and running on a PC and then i got this: "because of a protocol error detected at the client (code 0x1104), this session will be disconnected. please try connecting to the remote computer again" pls help!
Solution:
The most common reason why this is happening is because you are using a custom VISUAL STYLE with your computer. Set the visual style back to LUNA on XP or CLASSIC and see if the error occurs again. Most likely it will not. Not all visual styles produce this error, but if you want a custom visual style on the remote computer then you will have to find a compatible visual style that works with RDP via trial and error.
Another solution would be to set the RDP client to NOT use the visual styles by unchecking the box that says THEMES (see pic below):
Common problem with Realtek Audio Driver installation
Question: Realtek High Definition Audio is on the motherboard. Attempts to install drivers for it, from various sources including the CD supplied with the computer as 'XP Drivers', a file recommended by DriverDetective and one from Realtek site, fail towards the end of the installation process with a cryptic 'failed' message. One error code announced is 0xE0000227 Does anyone know what this means and what has generated it? I wonder if anyone else has encountered this sort of problem with sound in a dual boot? The Vista installation partition is Hidden and Vista has not been booted at all when I try these installations. The Installshield runs for quite a long time, extracting many files and it is almost at the end of a progress bar when it fails. This seems to imply that it thinks it is installing to the correct hardware??
ANSWER: I searched Google using the error code you provided and found this problem to be very common. The most common solution was this:
1) open device manager click "system devices" disable "microsoft UAA bus driver for high definition audio"
2)uninstall "UAA bus driver" make rescan devices (Note: Not all had this step. You may want to skip it.)
3) install realtek driver the realtek driver includes the UAA driver too.
